Stephanie Hurwitz

I grew up playing soccer from the moment I learned to walk with my older brother. I played for Elite S.C. through HS and went onto play at Harper College and Calumet College of St Joseph in Indiana until a spine injury put me on the sidelines.

Started coaching at Elite about 3 years ago as well Elite Soccer Community Organization (ESCO). Being able to teach kids new skills and being a positive role model is what I love most about coaching soccer.

Outside of soccer, I was a USATF junior Olympic qualifier in track and field as well as multiple MVP’s throughout college. I placed in the top 10 in the nation two years in a row for NJCAA in the 100m and 200m dash. My family owns the Iowa Raptors FC soccer club based out of Cedar Rapids, Iowa, a semi-professional team. I love spending time with my niece and teaching her soccer, as well as spending time with my husband and our dogs. I am a big supporter of the USWNT and have met a few of the players over the years.
