Sheriden is a dedicated soccer coach and former player who brings a wealth of experience and passion for the game to Elite S.C. With a strong coaching background and a love for developing talent, Sheriden is committed to fostering excellence both on and off the field while working full-time at the club.

Prior to Elite, Sheriden coached at Roadrunners S.C. in Downers Grove where he led teams ranging from u8 to u23.  During his time at Roadrunners, he was the head coach of five to six teams per season, while working as an administrator for the club. His coaching philosophy emphasizes skill development and fostering a competitive spirit that extends beyond game day. From organizing practices to managing administrative tasks, Sheriden ensures that his teams excel both technically and tactically.  Sheriden holds a USSF D coaching license and is pursuing further coaching education. 

Before transitioning to coaching, Sheriden played soccer at both Northern Illinois University (Division I) and Maryville University (Division II). As a standout high school player at Webster Groves High School in St. Louis, Sheriden was recognized as an All-American striker and earned the title of Missouri State Player of the Year twice. These early achievements laid the foundation for his love of the game and his commitment to excellence.

Academically, Sheriden holds a Master's in Education from the University of Missouri, specializing in Positive Coaching and Athletic Leadership. His academic background complements his coaching approach, focusing on creating a positive environment where players can thrive both on and off the pitch.

Sheriden was born and raised in St. Louis, Missouri but now resides in Lombard, Illinois with his girlfriend and their dog.  During his free time, Sheriden loves to watch soccer, take his dog Louie for walks, and spend quality time with his family and friends.
