I have coached soccer for more than 15 years, including 13 with Elite coaching young girls age groups. I grew up and played in western Michigan. I played varsity all four years at Lakeview High School in Battle Creek, MI, where we won four city and three regional championships. I was team captain two years and earned all conference two years, all city four years, and all state two years. I played college soccer at Western Michigan University. I currently live in Rolling Meadows with my husband Tom Johnston, also an Elite coach, and my daughter Maddie (11) (elite player) and son Joseph (3) (future elite player). I work full-time as an event planner and program coordinator for a major office equipment supply company in Deerfield.
