U8-U11 Program
u8-u11 Program overview
The U8-U11 program focuses on building a strong foundation for future success, enjoyment, and passion for the game. Technical development is crucial during these young stages and we strive to develop skillful players and positive decision makers. It is critical in these early stages of development that players have a chance to learn, grow, and play. Thus, Elite is committed to providing all U8-U10 players placement within the club (no cuts). The teams are comprised of players with similar skill-levels (ex. higher-skilled players are placed on teams with higher-skilled teammates).
We aim to ignite the passion for the game and help players develop soccer’s four key components - technical, tactical, physical and psycho-social.
TECHNICAL-The main component of the training session will be technique, skill development, and overall ball mastery.
TACTICAL-At this age players' capacity to solve problems increases significantly so we aim to also help players develop their decision making skills on the field. Players will begin working on basic and dynamic tactical scenarios. 1v1, 2v1, 2v2, 3v3, and 4v4 small sided games are utilized to teach basic tactics in training.
PHYSICAL element will focus on motor skills, balance, coordination, and agility.
PSYCHO-SOCIAL component will focus on helping players as they move from the egocentric stage at the younger ages to learning how to work as a team. Teams are formed to fit the player’s skill level, and will play in competitive leagues and tournaments based on best fit.
Teams will play in the IWSL, NISL Leagues, and local tournaments.
